Our wonderful clients’ custom self-build home sits on the edge of acres of woodland and undulating countryside in a beautiful area of South Derbyshire. Their sophisticated design style has enabled them to create a magnificent home that not only provides them with a refined and organised space to enjoy for themselves but also has the versatility to be a welcoming place when their grandchildren come to visit.
Over time, we have become the company of choice for our clients, working with them to help realise their vision in creating a beautiful home. In an extension of their kitchen, our clients commissioned Holme Tree to create double display cabinets to frame the fireplace and TV area. Designed to be functional, this bespoke joinery project creates a space that is relaxed and comfortable. Hand-finished in Farrow and Ball’s ***** paint, the neutral cabinets reflect light from the patio doors back into the room to create a light and airy space throughout both the TV area and back into the kitchen. These contrast with the black granite worktops which provide a stylish backdrop for the decorative items on display. This is a space designed to be lived in and enjoyed that enables our clients to host extended family easily by providing an area for guests to relax right next to the kitchen without encroaching on valuable preparation space.

Every aspect of this dresser was shaped and refined with uncompromising attention to detail. The in-frame lower cabinetry was carefully constructed to mirror the intricate panelling above, ensuring a seamless visual connection that enhances the fireplace’s presence. Each shelf and surface was measured and finished by hand, balancing form and function while maintaining a light, airy aesthetic. Subtle refinements during assembly allowed the curves, edges, and joins to sit perfectly within the room, creating a cohesive and polished whole.
