Transforming a home’s livable space
Planning a large scale project is an exciting opportunity to create transformative change on a property. Extending a property, removing internal walls to create open plan living areas or relocating the kitchen all require a longer time frame where obtaining planning permission and sourcing architects, builders and other contractors is required. Once these key decisions are made and approved, it is important to have plans in place for the kitchen budget and design as some decisions will need to be put in place at a relatively early stage. Ducting, plumbing and electrics, for example, all need to be located in the correct place. At Holme Tree, we work closely with builders, electricians and other contractors to ensure that the project runs as smoothly as possible. As part of this project, we also liaised with the garden designer to ensure that the inside and outside elements of the design worked cohesively.
A stunning open plan kitchen, living and entertaining area
The social island with BORA X-Pure full surface extracting induction hob is a welcoming place to gather for breakfast or drinks. The bar area is situated in a separate area of the room that enables drinks to be served to guests without the need to enter the food preparation space. A large cupboard was transformed into an extensive pantry with additional wine storage and plenty of space for everyday kitchen items such as packets, tins and jars which can be organised so that every member of the family can find them!
A whole array of appliances by Neff create a sleek look with two hide and slide ovens, compact oven with microwave, coffee machine, American style Fridge Freezer with ice and water dispenser and WiFi connected dishwasher. Two wine coolers offer space to store wine at different temperature zones so you can enjoy your favourite aperitif at the perfect drinking temperature. If a hot drink is, well, more your cup of tea, then a Quooker Cube tap offers boiling, chilled, sparkling, hot and cold water all from a single tap.
A concealed breakfast pantry offers a perfect place for food and drink preparation as well as crockery storage. Our kitchens are functional and often busy spaces so making the most of the space available for storage and preparation is crucial in creating a space that works effectively for you.
The whole space is unified by the Silestone Snowy Ibiza worktops which provide a beautiful contrast to the dark cabinets in Little Greene’s Lamp Black.
