Contemporary Kitchen Transformation
The transformation of this space was quite remarkable. Previously a window and door separated a small dark kitchen from a cold and largely unused rear extension. By removing the window and door and replacing the floor with underfloor heating and tiles a large space was available to install our clients’ new dream kitchen. The addition of new patio doors at the rear of the extension created a light and airy room leading directly into the garden.

Bringing in the Light
Choosing Farrow and Ball’s Plummet for the doors was an excellent choice to achieve this finish. The use of under cabinet lighting and a fresh white paint on the walls prevents this room from feeling dark. No space was wasted in the design for this kitchen with plenty of under counter storage incorporating hidden towel, shelf and corner pull outs for easy access. A large pantry style unit at the rear of the room houses the concealed fridge and freezer. Even where a supporting pillar prevented the use of a full depth cupboard, we were able to create a shallow unit so that it could be used for tins and packets and all the available space was both accessible and utilised.
The seating area and adjacent drinks preparation area is perfect for our clients giving them a view of their garden while they enjoy their morning coffee. A range of Neff appliances bring a sleek modern look to the room with Slide and Hide Oven, warming drawer and compact oven with microwave. The Villeroy and Boch Subway sink is partnered with a Franke Olympus Spring tap.
